article genre
(purpose,
type)
|
The purpose of the article is to inform the
readers about Hayley and her music choices and to get a deeper understanding
to why she likes this music and why she chooses to still listen to it. This
type of article is an interview and a round up combined this gives a personal
side to the article as well as a general overview of the concept of the
interview.
|
Narrative voice
(1st, 2nd or 3rd person) |
I will write the article in 3rd person
because this is the best way to give a general overview about Hayley and get
the concept of her interview across with a personal view of Hayley.
|
Register
(informal/formal,
colloquial, dialect, taboo words?)
|
I will have informal words and slang so that the
young audience don’t feel like the article is tedious and a fast read. I
think by doing this it will also make it easy to read and relate.
|
Stylistics
(repetition,
strong verbs, adjectives, alliteration, similes, metaphors, sentencing,
rhythm)
|
For the stylistics of the article I want to use adjectives and strong
verbs to describe what the actual era of music is. I want it to come across
exciting and by using adjectives such as electrifying to capture the
attention of the music. I will also
use these to describe Hayley’s own personal beliefs and by using adjectives
it creates a subjective look at music to link with the readers.
|
Tone of address
(hectoring,
sarcastic, ‘matey’, ironic, etc)
|
Within my article I will convey a youthful approach by using language
which is youth orientated and being ironic and making jokes within the
article to make the content more enjoyable and fun to read. It will also
convey a ‘matey’ feel , I want to create a friendly link between both me the
writer , the girl in the content and the reader.
|
Structure and pace
(discourse
structure, logical paragraphing, connectives, conclusion)
|
The structure will be organised by the types of questions I will ask Hayley
and these will create each paragraph theme, whilst including her personal
views I have to provide a background and this is why I will give a brief introduction
about Hayley and then the music so that the rest of the article follows
logically.

article genre
(purpose,
type)
|
The purpose of the article is to inform the
readers about how local radio plays a part in broadcasting and informing people
across the North East about music events. I chose the two radios which I think
are mostly relevant to younger people which have a basis in the North East and
I will compare the way that they both advertise local music events.
|
Narrative voice
(1st, 2nd or 3rd person) |
I will write the article in 3rd person
because this is the best way to give a general overview about the two radio
stations and it also allows me to remain from being subjective about my own
views on the two radio stations.
|
Register
(informal/formal,
colloquial, dialect, taboo words?)
|
For this article it will mainly be formal dialect
as I am writing about companies and well developed business instead of a
person which I think informal works better to illustrate. I need to address
important aspects which I believe formal words capture this better than
others.
|
Stylistics
(repetition,
strong verbs, adjectives, alliteration, similes, metaphors, sentencing,
rhythm)
|
For the stylistics of the article I need to be
well sentenced varying from long too short to make it a quick easy read so it
doesn’t become tedious. I need to include strong verbs and adjectives to
create an image of the two radios and describe to the audience the impact
that they have upon the local area.
|
Tone of address
(hectoring,
sarcastic, ‘matey’, ironic, etc)
|
Within my article I want to convey a very neutral
tone as well as a descriptive tone within my article, although I want to
promote the work that the radios do I need to refrain from being subjective when
describing the best points of the article I need to get the information across
to the audience it a way that they can then realise the impact .
|
Structure and pace
(discourse
structure, logical paragraphing, connectives, conclusion)
|
The structure will be presented like an essay
type format. I will create a brief overview of what I am comparing and the
issue at hand. I will then look at the good points of both articles and
compare them giving the audience a chance to make their own judgement but still
making them aware of what both radios do, I will then finish a rounded
conclusion with some small improvements which could help them promote music
events better in the North East.

article genre
(purpose,
type)
|
The purpose of the article is to inform the
readers about the grunge. Illustrating where the fashion has developed from an then
giving a brief overview of the different fashion factors which when used
together create a grunge look at home.
|
Narrative voice
(1st, 2nd or 3rd person) |
I will write the article in 3rd person
because this is the best way to give a general overview of the different aspects
of fashion which I am trying to convey to the audience as well as the brief overview
of its background an heritage.
|
Register
(informal/formal,
colloquial, dialect, taboo words?)
|
For this article it was very general, I want to
write it in a style which is very focused on local dialect not serious but
not formal as it needs to be descriptive but still remain enjoyable and fast
to read rather than come across tedious.
|
Stylistics
(repetition,
strong verbs, adjectives, alliteration, similes, metaphors, sentencing,
rhythm)
|
For the stylistics of the article I need to focus
on strong verbs and adjectives as the main aim of this article it to demonstrate
how to create your own look. The words need to describe the items of clothing
and the way to wear it so I don’t have to heavily rely on pictures.
|
Tone of address
(hectoring,
sarcastic, ‘matey’, ironic, etc)
|
Within my article I want to convey a very general
laid back tone of address, I don’t want the article to come across hectoring
to dress in this style but I still want to create an article that give direction
and instruction on how to get this look without seeming boring.
|
Structure and pace
(discourse
structure, logical paragraphing, connectives, conclusion)
|
The structure will be presented with logical
paragraphing. I want it to have a layout which flows. The main thing will be
the introduction of where it has developed from thus leading me into the
actual fashion and the aspects which are needed to create the look which will
be a separate paragraph for each so it doesn’t look lengthy and tedious to
read. I will then give a conclusion to sum up what I have wrote and encourage
them to then go and use the information I have given them.
