This week was the final week before hand in so for this week the main aim was to check all of my product and finalise and edit DPS3 to make sure that it was ready to handed in.
The first thing which I changed this week is the contents page. I thought seen as this was a small job it would take little time. I thought that the bottom part of the page looked bare so I inserted a offer in the bottom corner which I had mentioned on the front cover. By putting it in yellow I linked the 3 colours to the colours in the title.

the contents page used to inspire mine. |
Also this week I edited the picture I took at the event and this was then inserted into the DPS. The pictures only differ slightly but after editing it and playing with the colours I have created a picture which I think suits the blue in the DPS.
To achieve this I firstly changed the curves to change the light on the image and the exposure which defined the people and the lights in the picture. By doing this it gave me a more defined image but after brightening it and putting a colour balance on it allowed me to put a green/ blue tinge which then when inserted into the DPS it fitted better than the first.
I also changed this week my other 2 product. Firstly my whats with this music article? I looked at my reference material which inspired the look of my DPS and DPS and noticed that the long break out box at the side didn't look as professional as the box at the bottom. I also inserted margins and guidelines to create a more precise column layout on the page and made the columns on each side the same.
I also changed the grunge article I looked at a DPS from dazed magazine and thought that it would fit my product better than what the current layout did. I think that from changing the layout of the page it resulted in a better looking DPS which I think replicates professional practice.
